Preventative Maintenance
The guarantee of the correct functioning of the equipment, the conservation of their original features, as well as the compliance with the Preventative Maintenance and Safety programmes, these are aspects that have become increasingly important in Active Medical Devices.
The Preventative Maintenance programmes include:
- Inspection of the operations and protection systems;
- Inspection of the electrical and mechanic systems;
- Substitution of accessories;
- Reading leakage values;
- Reading ground protection values;
- Conducting functioning tests;
- Technical safety verifications;
- Cleaning and Disinfection.
Technical Safety Verification
In order to guarantee the safety of the users and patients when the equipment is functioning, complying with the Technical Safety Verification programmes is increasingly important when talking about Active Medical Devices.
The technical verification programmes include:
- Inspection of the information systems;
- Inspection of the mechanic conditions;
- Visual Inspections;
- Reading ground protection values;
- Reading leakage values;
- Conducting functioning tests;

Technical Team Training
In order to guarantee the training and the continual updating of technical information amongst our employees and clients, we have been certified through Fresenius Medical Care AG, since 2004, to Train and Certify Technical Experts.
As a modular structure, the training programme allows for continual updating, and at the end of each module a Certificate is handed out.
1 - The Theoretical and Practical Course is administered by our Technical Assistance Department. By the end of this course the trainees will be able to handle the equipment correctly and totally, as well as conduct any technical interventions authorized by that level.
2 - Internship at the Technical Assistance Department includes training and accompanying the department's daily functioning, but also displacement to units for technical interventions, where Fresenius Medical Care equipment is installed.
3 - Recycling and annual updates, in accordance with our Annual Plan for Technical Assistance Training.

Equipments Management
Having in mind the daily needs, our service for Equipments Management covers all the active devices, whether medical or not, that directly effect the treatments.
This service guarantees to our clients that whichever equipment in question, it will be supervised regarding installation, utilization, maintenance and destruction, according to the appropriate standard and manufacturer's indications.
This service also includes an Instrument Calibration Programme used in readings and measurements, which can interfere with the treatment.
Contracts
The conditions for technical support services may be consolidated in a Technical Assistance Contract (TAC). We have many contract models with various configurations in order to suit different clients.

The spare parts necessary for the Maintenance and Repair process may now be requested online.
We would like to minimise the time our clients spent restocking, reducing the time that the equipment is unusable thus contributing to a better overall management.
