In November 1998 TÜV - Product Service GmbH certifies the Quality Guarantee System of Fresenius Medical Care Portugal, making it the first private company settled with Portugal's National Health Service to certify its hemodialysis clinics.

At present, the head-office and clinics listed here and the Patient Transportation Service are certified in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 (Quality Management Systems) and ISO 14001:2004 (Environmental Management Systems). The Products Division is certified by ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 13485:2003 (Medical Devices - Quality of Management Systems - Requirements of regulation purposes).

Our medium-term objective is to certify the current Integrated Management System (Quality and Environment) in all of the units, decisively contributing to the excellence of healthcare provided.
