Prometheus

The Prometheus machine has an integrated system that allows for the simultaneous support of Liver Failure and Acute Renal Failure or only Acute Renal Failure (SLEDD, HD, HDI).

The principle of direct adsorption (with no exogenous albumin required for priming and filling of the system) of the toxins of high molecular weight associated to plasma, and at the same time the elimination of water-soluble toxins of low and middle molecular height by High-Flux Hemodialysis, allows for high depuration rates as well as a wider range of eliminated toxins.

As a consequence of the integration of the Liver Suport and Renal Support therapies in just one device, the Prometheus machine allows for an automatic integrated management of all of the clinical parameters with the added feature of more safety and comfort during treatments.

The Prometheus machine is therapeutically indicated for Liver Failure pre and post Liver Transplants as well as for the support of Acute Renal Failure.
