Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD)

Our continual search for innovative products has resulted in the development of the "PIN and Disc", by Biofine®, and of biocompatible Peritoneal Solutions, which allows us to supply our patient benefits never before offered. All our products and peritoneal dialysis accessories are manufactured from Biofine®. Contrary to other CAPD systems Biofine® does not contain PVC and produces a minimum of environmental pollution, in the manufacture as well as in the residues elimination.

The innovative "PIN and Disc" technology contributes to making our systems easier to use than other CAPD systems. With a simple control button that guides all of the steps in the treatment, the Disc controls the sequence step by step, minimizing the probability of patient error. The PIN system, protected by patent and the only one of its kind, automatically closes the catheter extension ensuring stable disconnection thus reducing the probability of infection.

The PIN eliminates 1,460 risky steps per year when compared to other conventional systems.

By integrating the unique and tested "PIN and Disc" technology, we provide a wide range of solutions for CAPD: lactate buffer, lactate and physiological pH buffer, and pure bicarbonate and physiological pH buffer. All of the solutions are available in the following glucose concentrations: 1.5%, 2.3% and 4.25%.
